Battery Powered Dragster Wins at Milwaukee World of Wheels!
[Chicago, Illinois] January 13, 2002, NetGain Motors' battery powered electric drag rail "Bad Amplitude" was on display for the International Show Car Association's (ISCA) 40th annual CarQuest "World of Wheels" car show held at the
Wisconsin State Fair Park in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on January 11 - 13.
This car show attracted over 200 competing and custom display vehicles. Over 65,000 people came out to view all of the spectacular vehicles on display.
NetGain's car "Bad Amplitude" was one of the most noticed vehicles. NetGain chose to exhibit their car at this event to expose alternative fuel technology to an automotive audience who generally does not participate in drag racing.
"Bad Amplitude" won first place as "Best Competition Dragster." "Bad Amplitude" also won first place as the "Outstanding Engineered Vehicle." The ISCA judges unanimously felt that NetGain's battery powered dragster
was the most outstanding vehicle, from an engineering viewpoint, participating in this show.
"These shows are extremely uplifting. We have only been participating for two years and this is the second year in a row that "Bad Amplitude" has been awarded these prestigious honors," said Kevin Zak, vice president of NetGain. "We
want to thank the show's producer, Joe Konkel, for declaring NetGain's team members as some of the friendliest and most informative people at the show. We are especially proud of all our team members who put forth the extra effort required to participate,"
Zak said.
NetGain will continue exhibiting "Bad Amplitude" at various car shows around the Midwest this year and will next be seen at the 40th Anniversary CarQuest World of Wheels at McCormick Place in Chicago, Illinois on February 1 - 3. NetGain's race
team is anxiously awaiting the start of the next race season.
